We made it! $1 Million for Alzheimer’s Research!

Booth goes wild!IQF Houston was amazing!

One pin for every quilt sold!We brought 2,469 quilts and sold 1,823 of them. Check out the straight pins in the picture. That’s one pin for every quilt sold, collected during the four and half days of IQF Houston by Beth Hartford and Debbie Chenail who staffed checkout lanes #1 and #2.
This year the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative earned  $10,000 more in quilt sales and donations than  last year!
If you want to bandy about a nice round number, try $85,000.
$1 Million for Alzheimer's Research
The highlight of the show was Thursday morning when we reached our $1,000,000 goal for funds raised for Alzheimer’s research. It took us 8 long years, but we did it!

We still have more to do!

The AAQI brought back more than 600 quilts from Houston. They have joined other quilts on our Quilts For Sale page. Every single quilt needs to find good a home because we are still raising funds for Alzheimer’s research.

We have until December 30th to sell all the quilts.

Quilts will be reduced in price periodically until the bitter end. Please let your friends know and encourage their support. Selling out could help fund one more research grant.

We have just about finished updating quilts that sold in Houston. There are several ways to check to see if your quilt sold.
  1. Type the quilt number (no # sign, but WITH the comma) into the purple search bar on the top of every page on our website.
  2. If you don’t know the quilt number, type your name into the search box.
  3. Look at all the quilts here. (This page will only hang around for a few days, so look now.)
  4. Watch happy buyers posing with their new quilts (the ones you made) as they uploaded their images to the IQF FaceBook site.
This year we were again fortunate to have Cathy Miller, The Singing Quilter, in our booth singing the quilts home. Below are two videos. More can be found on the AAQI YouTube page.
Thank you for your support!
Please consider purchasing a quilt (or three) before the end of the year. Make every quilt count.
